Day 322, Sunday, June 29
Isaiah Chapters 25 – 27

My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.”

Day is a time for activity, but night and morning invite thought.

Morning is a time for hope; eveing is a time for reflection.

The prophets aren’t all about gloom and doom, destruction and despair. In fact if they do nothing else they invite us to look inward and see what really lives within our minds and hearts.

Don’t try to make them into a history lesson – to the prophet, events reflect internal struggles; it is what is happening on the inside that really matters.

Friday meditation

Proverbs 31:24-26
She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

Prayer focus
Lord remind us always that you are our strength and protection. Things will let us down and fail to protect, but you will be faithful to protect those who are faithful to you.
